Receiving a broken upper arm bone on Good Friday caused reflection and a natural reaction to injury.

Any pain medication inhibits healing, so I fasted with my bone broth, well water, and His word.

My therapist and doctor consider my recovery to be remarkable, but it is clarity of mind that promotes such.

Our bodies are much more remarkable than "the experts" would have us believe. I certainly have arrived at the conclusion, and based on my own experience now, that fasting is far more vital than "they" would ever allow us to think...

Garret, I’m with family and not been keeping up…but the subject of a cashless society came up and I know you can give us insight from The Bible. Please, if you have time.

Your paragraph about current churches was so unfortunately spot on. Even worse are the synods, aptly the farther up in GOVERNING structure the more we get "power corrupting absolutely". Both struggling to straddle the line of corporatism ("R" word of religion) versus fellowship of scripture or biblical definition of "church". We the people are the CHURCH.

Exactly Rose. It's sad to see, and even sadder how few see it. Most just accept it as "normal." It is anything but; at least for those who are actively trying to follow God's Word.

So what is the history behind the 501(c)(3) anyways?

Control. That's the reader's digest version. Governments have always wanted to be in a position above God. We see it from Genesis all the way through to Revelation. It has been no different throughout the rest of history. Here's a good intro to many of the issues with 501(c)(3) status for churches.

I do believe, based on Revelation, Daniel and other "end times" passages that a cashless society will play a roll. It will make it easier for govt to control and dictate what people do or don't buy. It will also give them the ability to restrict or cancel one's ability to purchase anything whatsoever. As we saw with COVID, the vast, vast, vast majority of people are all too willing (even if begrudgingly so) to comply. That will only continue.

Here is also a reasoned take at the idea of a cashless society from a biblical worldview
