Another great history lesson from the professor! What this article said to me was throughout history only the names and places change. Whether is is Catholics and Protestants, Shia or Sunni, there has always been religious strife and violence. Great Famines, Plagues, or Covid. Unchecked immigration and government abuses. History repeats itself and we sadly never learn.

Bingo. I know it took me a lot of words to get there, but this is the sentiment I was trying to show! As you may know, I’m all about layers and the title “Irish Spring” wasn’t just a fun take on the soap, so I appreciate your reference to Shia/Sunni as the Arab Spring certainly came to mind while I researched this

I’m just always amazed at the continual cycle of tyranny, from the Israelites to present day…but what an encouragement to see men like Enoch Burke take a stand. The remnant. Thanks for sharing all the insight! Love you! ;)

Very detailed history summary! The lead to current affairs brings us to global problem of Cloward Piven overwhelming western countries including under Biden admin.

🙏 Ireland renews their spirit of rebellion to their new invaders, but it sounds like they are leaving once again. (History repeats)

It is such a long road of Islamic infiltration to impose their ideas upon "infidels". re: group behind all this, "They know not what they do" Their pawns will turn on them.

Song was a great palette cleanser!

Indeed a great account of Irish history. I enjoyed every word of it up until you mentioned that Oonshick McGregor.

That violent reprehensible violent thug does NOT speak for most of Ireland, have you done a real survey ?

That gobshite is not fit to clean the shoes of the heros who freed this island.

Do you think because he shook hands with a rapist president and he spouts off bull that gives him any standing at all in Ireland?

This ***man*** who beat up an old guy for refusing a drink from him. This is vermin you appreciate ?

No sir, this gombeen does not speak for the majority of Irish people.

You're welcome, I won't say anymore about that guy, you know how I and probably the majority of Irish feel about him, but I don't speak for them, unlike him, who thinks he walks on water. I speak only for myself. 🙏☘️

This is a great review of Irish history! Thanks, Garrett. Six years ago my wife and I spent 3 weeks traveling around Ireland. It's such a beautiful country and most people (especially away from big cities) are warm and friendly. We heard from some how destructive Cromwell was. As a former Catholic who became a protestant, I cannot understand how a supposedly devout Puritan could justify the slaughter.

My great great grandfather left Sligo during the potato famine. His wife-to-be was also from Sligo and they married in the US.

I grew up in Montana and after years away, I'm glad to be back. Thomas Meagher was a Montana territorial governor after his heroic performance as a Union general in the Civil War. His statue is on the state capitol grounds. How did he leave Ireland and end up in Montana? His fascinaring story is told in the book The Immortal Irishman.
