To your postscript, I find myself in a place I don't want to be in. I'm not sure why I got here, but can only trust that God has a plan. I'm still in this awful circumstance and feel that there is no way out. I tell myself to endure for the sake of the Lord. The Lord is sovereign. If he didn't want me where I'm at, he would remove me from it.

What you have written here echoes my own thoughts. During that conversation I mentioned in the beginning that brought me back to Jonah, we also discussed God's sovereignty. I certainly have wondered "why, Lord?" more times than I can count. Nonetheless, God's sovereign will for all of humankind is perhaps my favorite, or most awe-inspiring, or most comforting aspect of the one true God. I couldn't tell you how many times of looked up verses regarding His sovereign nature. Perhaps my favorite though is Daniel 4:35 "All the inhabitants of the earth are accounted as nothing, and he does according to his will among the host of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and none can stay his hand or say to him, “What have you done?”"

Whatever the trial the Lord always brings the faithful back to His path. He never said it will be easy.

Major MEDICAL also brings us to crossroads. (As you know) We have the free will to freeze or persevere. (perhaps only those 2 options) I choose to find "Blessings in the Brick" as I call it. You & your family have been a good example of Romans 5.

🙏 your path soon becomes less tumultuous & clear to next journey passed the proverbial immersion into the sea.

Love in Christ ✝️
