Daniel is an amazing example, especially for current Christians who want nothing to do with politics. Who do they think the prophets talked to if not for kings and other religious and government leaders?
Exactly. This is analogous to the 501(c)(3) issue too. Govt has invaded the church through that mechanism. Most are so afraid to lose their unequal union with Caesar that they just blame “politics” or some other ungodly and non-biblical reason for why they don’t talk about certain topics. The Bible is rife with examples of government tyranny towards the church. Daniel, a large portion of it too, is perhaps my favorite solitary example of that.
